Hi, I’m Rachel - and I’ve been in your shoes.

For most of my life, I believed that having personal style was something you either had or didn’t.

At the time, I didn’t feel like I had a clear sense of my own style. I often knew what I liked, but didn’t understand why certain things worked and others didn’t. Getting dressed felt like guesswork — a frustrating cycle of purchases, returns, and revolving dressing room doors.

That began to change when I became a client of Molly Bingaman, founder of Ladybird Styling.

Through that experience, I discovered something simple but powerful: personal style isn’t about following trends or having “good style” genes. It’s something that can be recognized, learned, and understood.

Her TEDx Talk, The Link Between Personal Style and Identity, explores this connection more deeply, and those ideas continue to influence how I think about personal style today.

Eventually, I went from being a client to becoming a business partner at Ladybird Styling.

I began working on the operational side of the business while continuing to deepen my understanding of these principles. Over time, I became the Styling Director, leading client appointments, training and mentoring other stylists, and selecting clothing for our retail space.

While that experience shaped my foundation, Ladybird Coaching is an independent business with its own approach, focused on personalized, one-on-one style coaching.

But I never forgot the realization that style is far more accessible than most people believe.

If I could learn it, anyone could.

Over the years, I’ve worked with hundreds of women to help them better understand their style and build wardrobes that truly support their lives.

Through this work, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it can be when someone finally understands why certain things work for them and begins trusting their own instincts.

Today, my work as a personal style coach is about helping others understand their style and make confident choices about what they wear—so they can get dressed with more clarity, ease, and trust in their own decisions.

My Approach to Personal Style

I believe style is something you learn, not something you’re born with.

When you understand how clothing works — design elements, proportion, and movement — you gain the ability to make confident choices about what you wear.

My goal isn’t to tell you what to wear. It’s to help you understand why certain things work for you, so you can build a wardrobe that feels natural, authentic, and sustainable over time.

The goal isn’t to follow rules — it’s to discover the principles that work for you.
